Jean Nouvel​ has finally unveiled what he has in store for the new National Museum in Qatar at the MoMA, New York City. The entire building will occupy 1.5 million square foot that too at the southern end of Doha’s Corniche in a circular shape. The building itself will be created with concrete colored like sand is such a way that the formation resembles the mineral formations of bladelike petals commonly known as the desert rose. The building will be house for a permanent gallery occupying 86,000 square feet and a temporary gallery of 21,500 square feet, a 220-seat auditorium and a 70-seat food forum / TV studio, two cafés, a restaurant and a museum shop. Additionally, 1.2million square feet will be used to create a Qatari desert landscape scene around the museum.
